As we embark on the holiday season, I’m so grateful for all that this season brought with it. Our business is more than glasses and charts, but rather a haven where we come together to make our community a better place.
This Thanksgiving, I’d like to take a moment to express my thanks to three things that have made such a positive impact on my life, my business, and the community I love.
1. My Team
I always say I am spoiled at work!
All the incredible work performed at Eden Prairie Eye Care would not be possible without the passion and energy of my amazing team. Thanks to their hard work, dedication, and spirit, Eden Prairie Eye Care has been able to provide every person who comes through our doors with the best care possible.
To my team, I am grateful for:
The chance to watch you grow and thrive into your positions.
Building the bond that we all have together. We are the true definition of teamwork!
All the laughter we’ve shared. You also always know how to make me laugh.
The support you give me each and every day, ensuring the patient experience runs smoothly.
Eden Prairie Eye Care would not be the business it is without you. Thank you.
2. My Patients
Eden Prairie Eye Care has the best patients!
It’s been so much fun seeing people and their families year over year. I love looking at a record and seeing someone who has been consistent in their eye care showing eye exams from the year we opened all the way into 2019!
To my patients, thank you for:
Understanding the importance of annual eye exams. When our patients are proactive in their eye health, it means we are doing our jobs.
Sharing your stories with us. You are letting us into your homes and into your hearts.
Supporting us (and not just with your business). Each time you bring us treats like Martha’s cookies, homemade hot sauce, and earrings it shows us that we are a valued member of your community.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. Warmest thoughts and best wishes to you and your loved ones this Thanksgiving.
3. My Work
Sight is something that impacts all aspects of our lives. It’s why we all do what we do!
There’s no better feeling than helping someone see the world more clearly. I am thankful each and every day for the moment someone can view their loved ones with clear vision.
From the outside looking in, it might seem that my days are repetitive. Some people ask me if I ever get sick of asking the same question (“Which is better? 1 or 2?) hundreds of times a day.
But every patient’s story is different, meaning all my interactions are unique. Each one offers me a different opportunity to impact their lives. The fact that I can do this from the comfort of my office, in an office break room, in a garage in a small village in Dominican Republic, or in a hot gym in the middle of a city in Colombia, only makes me love my profession even more.
Thank you all for giving me a purpose. I am grateful for you.
Thank you for being a part of our Eden Prairie Eye Care family.
Warmly,
